Welcome to the website of Akris. We are the only student table tennis club in Nijmegen, currently holding about 55 members. We train weekly, have our own yearly tournament (the OATK) and take part in the Dutch table tennis competition with several teams.
Akris isn’t all about table tennis. We always go for a drink after training and often plan activities, for example go-karts, shooting pool and bowling. There are no obligations at Akris but we do have a lot to offer
Training
Located at the Radboud Sports Centre (RSC), Akris’ practice sessions takes place weekly on Tuesday’s from 6:30 till 8:00 PM and 8:00 till 9:30PM and is led by our trainer Martijn Heemskerk. The skill level of our members differs, so there will always be someone playing at your level. After practice, we usually go for a drink in either the bar located in the RSC or our favourite café. Anyone interested can come and give it a try without any further commitment.

Membership

Take note: To become a member of Akris, it is necessary to be in the possession of a sports card of the RSC. This card is compulsory to become member of any student sport club in Nijmegen. The sports card allows holders to use the fitness, tennis, squash and other facilities of the RSC. More information can be found on their website.
